Coziest Barefoot House Slippers

Every winter the time comes again when gone are my gallivanting around the globe barefoot, and even in the comfort of my own home I have to start wearing something warm on my feet. My toes start demanding warmth, softness, and something that still feels like me connected to the ground and free.

So, without further ado, here’s this year’s coziest slipper and house shoe round up from pure sheep fluff to handcrafted felt and even minimalist leather soles.

Softstar Fireside and S’more

First up and foremost in the cozy collection is the Softstar Fireside. It was our first barefoot slipper and one of our first barefoot “shoes.” It’s the yummiest, most marshmallow delightful bundle of sheep fluff.

Recently, Softstar added a Vibram outsole to this slipper, calling the new model the Softstar S’more. It features a 3mm Vibram sole while keeping the slipper wonderfully flexible with excellent ground feel. Wildling Koselig

Their newest model, the Koselig, is something else entirely. “Koselig” means “cozy” in Norwegian, and the Wildling of the same name lives up to it. These snug boots keep us warm and comfortable even on bitterly cold winter days.

Warm wool inside and out, it’s quickly becoming a winter favorite. With its rubber-sealed outsole, you can take it out and about around town.

The Koselig’s upper is made of undyed wool in a herringbone pattern, with a lining of 100% particularly fluffy wool and an incorporated membrane. The Shell Sole keeps moisture out from below.
